SwissTex France offers today the most complete range of glass yarn twisting machinery on the market. All twisters may be connected with the plant management system M.U.S.T. for a full quality and efficiency control.

Twisters for continuous glass yarn

The ring twisting machines are designed to twist yarn directly from cake coming from spinning, and obtain any kind of bobbins mostly "milk bottle shape" for direct use by yarn producers for weaving, knitting or coating process.
Main advantages:

• Cakes driven by independent synchronized motors
• Motorised take-up spindles
• Electronic ring-rail system
• Monitoring of all textile parameters by computer leading to a customised take-up build up for:
• Improved unwinding capabilities
• Constant twist and tension for top textile characteristics.

SwissTex France offers 3 types of machines in different gauges (240, 280 and 300mm) covering a yarn range from 2.8 to 544tex (D1800 to K9) with twist capability from 5 to 200tpm, answering all customer requirements with respect to productivity, quality, reliability and safety:

Cabling / Assembling / Plying / Twisting machines

SwissTex France is able to match any needs concerning the processes of Assembling and Direct Cabling machines for glass yarns.
The Assembling machines are designed to ply and twist several pre-twisted single yarns. The supply yarns usually coming from first twist machines on any kind of support, mostly "milk bottle shape", are combined in 2 up to 8 yarns twisted (2.8 to 544tex) and wound on any kind of take up bobbins. SwissTex France proposes two types of assembling machines either 3 bodies with up-twisting creel or single body with pantograph creel.
Main advantages:

• Standard equipment used on all SwissTex France glass twisters
• Motorised take-up spindles of 250 or 500 W according to final plied yarn count
• Electronic ring-rail system
• Balanced yarn with high twist level in one step

The Cabling machines, CD 356 and CD 357, offer a very efficient one step direct cabling process to ply 2 yarns from 5.5tex up to 136tex. The one step process reduces production and material costs because there is no need of rewinding process.
Main advantages:

• The CD 356 and the CD 357 are especially designed to cable very sensitive glass yarns. Broken filaments may be almost eliminated, as no rotating travellers are needed. This leads to superior yarn quality.
• Tube bi-conical shape on horizontal bobbin take up.
• Perfect bobbin build-up allowing a reliable running behaviour in high speed weaving looms

Custom twisting & plying machines

SwissTex France is also proposing a specific range of twisters adapted to specific process. Coated yarn twisting process and raw glass yarn assembling process require the level of flexibility SwissTex France has in twisting machinery engineering.
The RTM 41 S is specifically adapted to the coated glass yarn twisting process with specific equipments adapted to well known SwissTex France frames and other main components such as industrial PC controller, motorized spindles.
The RTM 41 SC is designed to assemble 2 to 4 raw glass yarns from cake and twist to any kind of take up bobbins.

What’s new with SwissTex France and glass twisting machinery?

The new cake holder motorized creel is now available and might be selected to equip the first twist machines. SwissTex France supplies the most efficient component and contributes to a customer real energy saving while operating these twisters.
SwissTex France is also launching its newly designed ring rail driving system equipped with EDSTM & DDSTM specific mechanisms.
The Easy Doffing System and the Dual Driving System optimize the take up tube handling. The pigtail and the ring rails are individually driven and controlled.
This new technology optimizes constantly the yarn tension during the production and separates the rails for doffing leading to a top yarn quality while minimizing the risk of “milk bottle” take up bobbin damages.
