Textile Yarns

The first question to answer is why twisting and what is the effect of the twisting process on the yarn.

In fact we twist the yarn:
- to protect it (low twist)
- to give strength (medium twist)
- to add effect (high twist)
The twist factor will modify on the yarn:
- elasticity
- covering factor, handling, touch, etc
- elongation, strength, etc

For all the above, SwissTex France have the answer with a wide range of twisting machines, and can meet all customer requirements known on today’s world market. Our range of yarn is from 20 to 1 200dtex, in all continuous filaments, according to machine types (spindle, gauge, etc). To meet all these requirements, several types of spindles are available:
- 90 to 110mm for high twist
- 132 to 140mm for low and medium twist
- 170mm for flat and textured yarn
- 235 to 260mm for low twist textured yarn
The yarn paths on our machines are in solid ceramic to eliminate broken filaments.

Our take-ups are the best in the world, with individual biconical taper as standard feature, and incorporating in most machines, a pneumatic bobbin lifting device combined with a pneumatic spindle declutching.
All belt tracks are fully enclosed for lower noise and better safety for the operators.
Machines for high and medium twist are available in two decks, for space saving.

Only twisters with well supply pirn or bobbin will run with high efficiency. For this, the SwissTex France pirn winder is the rewinder that every throwster should run with his twisters.

DT 360 / DTE 140 / DTS 170 / DTM 235
The DT 360 (DTE 140/DTS170) is a polyvalent two-for-one twister with declutchable spindles driven by tangential belt. Module type structure. Individual biconical take-up with automatic transfer tailing system. Possibility of straight edge soft packages for dyeing.
Two types of spindles are available:
- DTE 140: for pirns or cylindrical packages up to 3kg with 135mm maximum diameter
- DTS 170: for pirns up to 3,8kg or cylindrical packages up to 2kg with 160mm maximum diameter

Two-for-one twister for large packages:
The two-for-one twister DT 360 (DTM 235/DTM 260) is designed for flat or textured yarn from large dimension supply packages. Modular type structure. Specially developed for low twist range, this machine allows a take-up traverse of up to 250 mm and a linear speed of up to 200 m/min.
Two types of spindles are available:
- DTM 235: for a package diameter up to 220 mm
- DTM 260: for a package diameter of up to 250 mm.

DT 362 / DTE 132
The double deck two-for-one twister DT 362 is designed for medium twist on fine count yarns (yarn range: 75 to 210 den), with individual biconical take-up. Two-for-one twister for pirns (spindle DTE 132).

DT 350 EH
The DT 350 EH (DTM 260) is a two-for-one twister with individual high-speed take-up system per position. This machine is designed for textured yarn for low twist using large diameter supply packages. Yarn range 60 to 600dn filament yarns. Modular type structure with double-sided configuration. Easy yarn thread-up with pneumatic air threading system.
The DT 350 EH is driven by inverters driving take-up drive rolls, traverse cams and lip compensation system. A central computer control system in the machine headstock with display screen and touch type keyboard allows programming and display of twist (TPI), traverse cam speed (crossing angle), anti-patterning feature, lip compensation and yarn oil roll speed.
A central computer incorporates (8) set-up memories and allows transmission of data to independent PC computer. Take-up on 7“ cones to 11,5“ tubes with stroke length from 150mm (6“) to 250mm (10“). Take-up speed with individual cams up to 350m/min.

DT 326 E
The DT 326 E is a two-for-one twister with thermal treatment for HE Polyamide yarn.
The modular concept machine DT 326 E allows single step operation twisting on two-for-one spindle of 2 ply S and Z textured yarns, continuous yarn shrinkage through thermal treatment, production of large size soft package for direct dyeing with the best economical conditions and the highest textile qualities.
